The 2024 Wake United Surf + Wake Series has officially come to an end, and what an incredible season it’s been! From the first stop to the last wave at Grills Lakeside, we’ve seen some amazing talent, fierce competition, and unforgettable moments on the water.
Throughout the series, riders pushed the limits, showing off jaw-dropping tricks and smooth surf skills. Every stop brought a unique vibe, but the excitement was always electric. We also saw a strong sense of community, with fans, families, and participants coming together to celebrate their love of wakeboarding and wakesurfing.
The Wake United Surf + Wake Series concluded its final stop of the season with the Thigh High Surf + Wake event in Orlando, Florida, on September 7-8, 2024. Hosted at Grills Lakeside on Lake Fairview, the event featured over 75 competitors and a variety of family-friendly activities. Riders like Phupa Sitabutr and Camden Marsden took top honors in wakesurfing and wakeboarding.
“Grassroots contests provide the foundation for the future of the sport,” said Danny Harf, series co-founder and four-time X Games wakeboard champion. “In just the past few seasons, many regional, national, and world champions have gotten their start right here.”
The final event at Grills Lakeside didn't disappoint. Riders gave it their all for one last chance to earn bragging rights and cash prizes, and the crowd was there in full force to cheer them on. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support and participate this season!
